Rikulau rider on a roll with another ist place fin

Once more riding his hi-tech orange Rikulau made of Reynolds 953 stainless steel bike running on sweet @OM carbon wheels, Robert, fresh from his 1st & 2nd place wins in two other elite level amateur races in December, this time took part in a four (4) man breakaway after his lead out teammate Jogz Carolino unfortunately slipped on a tight u-turn at the 20th minute. Robert then took over the lead of the breakaway group and towed his three (3) competitors all the way to the line, powering past his closest adversary by a wheel length in a mad sprint to the finish of the hour long Criterium race. A minute later the main peloton arrived, and the bunch sprint was won by Robert’s teammates Bong Z. and Rommel Z. who came in at 6th and 7th place respectively to earn their place among the top ten finishers. At the awarding ceremonies after the race, Robert, who shuttles regularly between Manila and California to handle Rikulau sales and development in those countries, donned the stage winner’s rainbow “Hitachi” jersey and accepted the huge 1st placer’s trophy.
